Half-time: Tottenham 3 Chelsea 1

first_imgChelsea endured a disastrous end to the first half as they saw their lead at White Hart Lane disappear in dramatic fashion.Diego Costa had put the Blues ahead n the 19th minute, turning in Oscar’s shot, which came after Eden Hazard had hit the post.Harry Kane equalised on the half-hour mark as he cut in from the left-hand side, held off the challenge of Oscar and fired in a low shot beyond Thibaut Courtois. And Chelsea imploded by conceding twice in the dying minutes of the half.Christian Eriksen took advantage of some space in the final third to slip the ball through to Nacer Chadli, and after he rolled his effort against the post, Danny Rose followed up to power in the rebound. Then the in-form Kane drew a foul from Gary Cahill inside the box and Andros Townsend slammed home the penalty.Spurs had suffered a blow when Ryan Mason limped off, just before Costa’s goal, which had come with Chelsea’s first serious attack. But Tottenham responded with a vibrant 15 minutes that threatens to knock Chelsea off top spot of the Premier League.Manchester City beat Sunderland earlier in the afternoon an, as things stand, lead the table on goals scored. SeeClickFix helps bring attention to the sorts of issues that local governments might not otherwise know about or pay attention to: potholes, graffiti, illegal dumping, and the like. By having a mechanism to flag these issues, SeeClickFix serves to empower citizens to track what’s going on in their neighborhood and provides a more efficient means by which governments can identify these issues. The company was founded in 2009 and already has over 200,000 users reporting problems via its mobile apps and website. Now the company has added a Facebook application, giving users yet another way to report issues. The Facebook app will tie directly to SeeClickFix’s reporting platform, giving users access to the site’s 140,000 registered public officials. “Facebook has proven to be a powerful platform for encouraging people to plant virtual trees and improve virtual neighborhoods,” says SeeClickFix CEO Ben Berkowitz, who argues that SeeClickFix will help bring some of that virtual care taking so popular via Facebook games like Farmville out into the real world. audrey watters Facebook is Becoming Less Personal and More Pro… Related Posts Guide to Performing Bulk Email Verification A Comprehensive Guide to a Content Auditlast_img read more

Sathya Sai Baba’s niece claims threat to life from trustees

first_imgA fresh controversy hit Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, which was rocked by the cash seizure scandal last week, after Sathya Sai Baba’s niece Chetana Raju alleged that she was facing a life threat from some trust members. Chetana – the chairperson of Eeswaramma Women’s Welfare Trust in Prasanthi Nilayam – alleged on Monday that she felt threatened from some trust members. She however refused to name the trustees from whom she feared a threat. Websites Get Traffic From 16% Fewer Keywords After Google’s SSL Change [New Data]

first_imgLast week, we reviewed how than in the month before this change. The amount of traffic that they receive is similar in that time period, but many of the visits are now lumped into the “Not Provided” bucket. Sources report marketing analytics tools and long-tail keywords. Websites that are executing inbound marketing and content creation successfully will receive visits on many different keywords, especially similar variations of long-tail keywords for which they’ve optimized their website and blog. The intelligence derived from these visits drives future content production and optimization efforts, and so it repeats. When Google takes away this intelligence, an inbound marketer’s job becomes dramatically more difficult. inbound marketing strategy By Brian Whalley For HubSpot Customers available to marketers. But that’s just one part of the whole story. It’s also very important to determine how much of your organic search traffic is now unidentifiable and understand how to handle those circumstances. Google ostensibly made this change to provide additional privacy to its users; however, this is also at the very dear cost to many marketers of understanding how their visitors are finding their website. While Google’s truthfulness and rationality are up for debate, we are doing additional research to better understand how this change impacts the typical web marketer who is working to grow his/her business and generate leads. (like the first 7 business days). Scroll to the bottom of the organic search section, and record the number of keywords you received traffic from. Then do the same for November, and inspect the difference. The number is presented at the very bottom next to the ‘Export’ button in HubSpot, like in this image: This decrease of over 40% of our keywords for the blog is having a dramatic impact on how we review, plan, and think about the content we produce for our visitors and subscribers. . Inspect the number at the bottom, right-hand corner of the data table. Then repeat for the other time period you are interested in. Try to keep the time periods similar (e.g. use the same number of business days if your traffic arrives primarily during the week), and measure the difference. This can help you understand exactly how Google’s change to using SSL for some searchers is impacting your keyword intelligence. , set it to ‘Organic Search,’ and then set the date range to an early October time period open up your organic search traffic Search Engine People Blog Originally published Nov 16, 2011 9:00:00 AM, updated October 20 2016 the average HubSpot customer is now receiving traffic on 16.19% fewer keywords If you’re a HubSpot customer, , and it is very important for marketers to understand the change and what it means for their business and its website. This way, we could be certain that the data wouldn’t be influenced by big announcements or seasonal shifts that could radically alter their data. What Letters to Santa Can Teach You About Email Marketing

first_imgIt’s funny how much in common writing a letter to Santa has with email marketing. If you deconstruct the ideas within the letter, you can’t help but spot the similarities. They remind us of the most basic principles of sending marketing emails.1. It’s Always Personal All letters to Santa are personal. Children have to introduce themselves quickly so the jolly old man knows whose letter he’s reading.Personalization is certainly a must-have in email marketing, too. A 2011 study showed that 1/3 of marketers consider personalization in email marketing to be highly effective. Your “From Name” and signature should be personal or suggestive of how the recipient initially subscribed to receive your email communication. Check out our guide with ways to personalize your marketing emails.2. Show That You CareOne best practice for writing effective letters to Santa is asking how he’s doing. This simple gesture shows that the child cares about Santa before he ask for gifts. In this way, the child is distinguishing himself from the rest of the youngsters who just can’t wait to mention all the toys they hope to receive for Christmas. In email marketing, you should be also showing your recipients that you care about them. You can do that by asking a question, offering an industry insight they might not be aware of, or suggesting a practical tip. In other words, provide your subscribers with some value rather than jumping straight to your pitch.3. Explain Why You’ve Been GoodIf you have ever written a letter to Santa, you know the importance of mentioning how good you’ve been all year. You need to be as specific as possible and mention certain examples of how you’ve been good.Similarly, in email marketing, you need to use the right superlatives to describe your resources or products. Be as specific as possible: for instance, mention that the whitepaper you offer is “the most comprehensive” whitepaper in your industry, and list its number of pages or chapters. 4. Make Your RequestNow it’s time to ask Santa for your gift. What is it that you want to see under the Christmas tree?In email marketing, this equates to including a call-to-action and asking readers to click through and complete a specific action. Do you want them to see a video, download a whitepaper, or request a demo of your product? Pick something from your marketing wish list, and make sure it’s consistent with the rest of your email.5. Send it at the Right Time Writing a letter to Santa might be the majority of the hard work a kid needs to do to get a Christmas gift. However, all kids know that you need to send the letter well ahead of Christmas Eve in order to receive their gift on time. In email marketing, timing also plays an essential role. You don’t want to send emails when your recipients’ inboxes are overflowing with messages from everyone else. However, you don’t want to be too late and risk not hitting your monthly marketing goal. Experiment with counter-competitive timing on the weekends or at night, and see how it performs for your company.Do you find other similarities between writing a letter to Santa and email marketing?
